About Me

Hi, I'm Dylan Cheek - a software engineer with a business background and six years in automotive finance. I bridge product, engineering, and stakeholders to ship reliable systems.

I focus on secure software engineering and embedded/IoT. Recent work spans a Java + SQLite inventory app, a MEAN travel booking platform with REST APIs, and a Raspberry Pi thermostat built with C++/Python and secure coding practices. I've also trained a small LLM with open-source tooling, strengthening my ML and data preprocessing chops.

My goal is to pair technical depth with clear communication so teams can deliver secure, practical products that solve real problems.

Skills: C++ | Python | Java | JavaScript/TypeScript | React | Node/Express | HTML/CSS | SQL/MongoDB | Git/GitHub | Docker | Linux | Secure Coding | Embedded Systems

Battle Brothers: Kyber & Contracts

Work-in-progress: OT-era total conversion with rare force users

Targeting modern BB builds with a random force-sensitivity seed reminiscent of SWGalaxies, OT-aligned factions, and unique sabers/armor itemization. Planned Jedi training unlocks via faction rep, tiered ability points, and crises like Imperial Crackdown or Cartel War to pressure a ~250-day campaign. Focus areas: world gen, AI/encounter tables, loot/economy, and event chains.
